Drinking tea may help your heart according to an article published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition.
Dutch researchers studied 4,600 men and women over the age of 55 who drank three or more cups of black tea a day. Tea drinkers cut their risk of heart attack in half. The risk of a fatal heart attack fell by 33 percent compared non-tea drinkers.
How come?
Well, black tea contains flavinoids, potent antioxidants which can help prevent inflammation, blood clots and cholesterol build up in heart arteries.
You can also find flavinoids in apples, red wine, and parsley. So drink a few glasses of tea each day. According to this and other studies, black and green tea can help prevent heart disease and stroke. Green tea can help prevent some kinds of cancers like skin cancer.
