Gasoline Price Drop Stalls

Gasoline prices have turned up a penny even as crude oil prices fall.

The average price for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline is now $2.21. The price is up one cent from last week, according to AAA, of Hawthorne, Florida. The current average price is 11 cents a gallon less than a month ago and down 28 cents a gallon compared with one year ago.

Midgrade gasoline is selling for an average of $2.35 a gallon, and the average for premium is $2.43 a gallon. Both grades are up a penny since last week as well.

Diesel fuel is unchanged at $2.61 a gallon. One year ago diesel was selling for an average of $3.09 a gallon.

The cheapest price at the pump for regular unleaded is $1.85 a gallon in Lake Jackson, Texas and the most expensive gallon is on sale in Kailua Kona, Hawaii at $3.09.
