We received the following response from The Junction:
There was alot of pertinent information left out which mislead the public and absolutely trashed The Junction publicly. The Junction paid 2 attorneys offices for their legal advise on the confession of judgements and contracts, and were told they perfectly legal. It was said The Junction "bullied" their customer's....that is totally incorrect. Unfortunately as most any business will tell you there are many customer's that feel they don't have to pay after they purchase products thru financing.
If a customer had a positive credit report interest rates were always adjusted. The Junction followed the legal processes that to it's knowledge,and thru advisements from attorney's were honest and legal.
Most of the customer's that were referred to are consumers that have credit scores of between 350-550. Consumer's weren't garnished or products weren't repossed after missing only 1pmt. These customers were those who had gone months without making a payment and some who never made a payment at all. The interest rate was high because a large percentage of the customer's were "high risk" and couldn't get financing anywhere else.
The $600,000.00 that is referred to is the amount of product that was lost to The Junction. The Junction lost that money AND the product. The Junction didn't get reimbursed by insurance or any other means for those losses. Nor did The Junction ever have a chance by the media to tell it's side. No-one wanted to publish "our" side. They were content with demolishing a business' reputation and the reputation of those who own and run it. The Junction was made to "re pay" money to customer's who owed it for products.
The Junction LOST $600,000.00, not the customer's. The Junction was also made to pay a very hefty fine in addtion to losing all that money and product. The Junction was also made to sign a "confession of judgement" to pay a certain amount in a certain time frame or legal action would be taken. It's amazing how it was perfectly legal for The Junction to have to sign the same type of paper (confession of judgement) that created this whole nightmare.
